PDO threads work on a straightforward principle, a dissolvable thread is placed under the skin, and depending on how it's designed, it either physically lifts tissue or triggers collagen production in the surrounding area. Barbed Lifting Threads
Often called the lunchtime facelift, this treatment uses four barbed threads to lift sagging or loose skin, usually along the jawline or lower face. The barbs anchor into tissue and pull it upward, giving an immediate lifting effect while the thread itself stimulates collagen underneath. It's called a lunchtime facelift for a reason, minimal downtime, a quick appointment, and a result that keeps improving for weeks as collagen builds.
Fox Eye Brow Lift
This one uses the same four-barbed-thread approach, but placed specifically to lift the brow. The result is a subtle outer-corner lift that opens the eye area, the effect people mean when they talk about "fox eye." It's a smaller, more targeted treatment than the full facial lift, and it tends to be one of the quicker appointments on the menu.
PDO Smooth Threads
Unlike barbed threads, smooth threads don't lift, they're placed purely to build collagen. Ten threads are used per treatment, laid into the skin to trigger a healing response that thickens and firms the tissue over time. This is the option for people who want better skin quality and texture rather than a visible lift, and it's often layered with other treatments for a more complete result.
Mesh Threads for Nasolabial Folds
Two threads are used specifically to soften nasolabial folds, the lines that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth. Screw Threads for Lip Border
