Signature Aviation & Discovery Flight Features
Learning the mechanics of aviation, completing cockpit preflight procedures, and taking command of aircraft controls requires expert instruction and hands on exposure. South Coast Aeronautics delivers a complete dual-participant flying experience:
- 30-Minute Ground Instruction Session: A pre flight briefing hosted by South Coast Aeronautics covering preflight walk-around procedures, basic aerodynamics, control surfaces, and cockpit instrument orientation.
- Hands-On Aircraft Piloting Experience: An introductory flight where one participant takes direct control of the aircraft under the active guidance and supervision of a Certified Flight Instructor.
- Two-Person Flight Excursion Package: A dual-seat passenger arrangement offered by South Coast Aeronautics allowing two people to share the trip, where one participant flies the plane and the second passenger relaxes and enjoys the flight.
- Logbook Credit & Certification Prep: Flight time logged during your session at South Coast Aeronautics can be officially credited toward the total flight hours required for a Private Pilot License.
- Panoramic Southern California Aerial Views: Scenic aerial routing providing incredible coastal and city vistas while flying under clear visual flight rules.
